Welcome! Wikis are websites that everyone can build together. It's easy!

Adding Features

Take Your Profile to the Next Level

So now your profile's looking sharp -- what else can you do with it? More features and new ways to use existing features emerge all the time. Here are some suggestions for adding more flair and functionality to your MySpace profile.

Click EasyEdit to add ones you've found.

Slideshows

You can build a great slideshow for your page at myspaceslideshow.net. Just load the images you want to feature into a Photobucket account or FTP them to a URL, plug in the Photobucket or URL links, and then add a caption for each photo. Presto, magic, a clean Flash-powered slideshow that makes you look cool.

Video

Uploading video into your MySpace blog is easier than uploading it into your profile because MySpace profiles only recognize certain amounts of html code. As an alternative to YouTube, you can upload your video files to Mydeo, and like YouTube, Mydeo will spit out the code for you to embed the link. For your profile, you need to look inside the code generated and select only the code that starts and ends with embed tags: <embed type="application/x-mplayer2" … </embed>

What do you like?

Add your interests: movies, music, books, etc. These are the types of search terms that will draw other interested MS users to your profile.

Tom Anderson

Tom is not your friend

Since Tom Anderson, the co-founder of MySpace, is everyone’s friend, those who are too hip for standard MySpace have decided that it’s cooler to kick Tom off their friends list. All his pictures make him look like a dork. Sure, the guy created the universe you inhabit 15 hours a day, but you don’t have to be nice to him.

My Top 10

Create a cool, html-based top 10 list using this easy code generator. Type in your top ten (movies, books, hotties, etc.) and then customize the fonts and colors.

Serious coding

If you’re a big techie geek and want to seriously trick out your profile like it’s a ’95 Honda Civic, there are a million places to go to find great code to make you stand out from the MySpace hoi polloi. Here are just a few (click EasyEdit to add more sites to the list):
